How to Make a Marvelous Pizza
The Next Steps
So now, hopefully you have a solid grasp on what exactly makes up a proper margherita pizza. From the
quality,
handmade ingredients to the tradition and culture baked into the very crust, there are a few things
you can do now.
First is go find the best local pizzeria in your area, for us here in Edmonton AB. It's Sepp's pizza
(In my
opinion), they're locally owned and they do it right. If you're looking to get involved yourself,
then I recommend
heading to the nearest Italian center with a grocery list in hand and look for those fresh
ingredients we talked
about before. Grab yourself a quality pizza stone if a wood fired pizza oven is a little bit out of
your budget.
Then head on over to my recipe page for a little inspiration.
Now that you've mastered this art form of making a good pizza, share it with your friends and family!
Have a formal
or informal pizza gathering. That's the great thing about pizza. It could be your best friend at 2
in the morning
after a night out or you could get fancy and pair it with a nice appetizer and wine for a date night
with a special
someone. There's nothing quite like a handmade pizza to show people that you care.
How to Pick Out A Good Pizza Spot
Now to give some advice, how can someone find a good pizza spot? Well, it starts with the smell. Can
you tell the
quality of something based on a smell? Yes, you can! And you'll know what I mean when you experience
it, the waft of
the fresh dough and ingredients turning into a pizza in the oven will expel all it's goodness
through scent. You can
almost picture the bubbling crust and the melty cheese, running gracefully over the tops of these
pizzas. Say no to
your big chain restaurants and support local restaurants. They care much more about the quality of
their food to the
bottom line in a larger corporation, and of course the customer (you).
What Else is New?
I came across this interesting story while doing my daily browse of the internet, I almost couldn't believe what I
was reading! A man in Florida fooled some locals by posing as a fake pizzeria, handing out flyers and false
advertisements about his alleged pizzeria. The unsuspecting customers, after ordering, received some undercooked
thrown together pizzas, some even got a box with raw dough inside. He achieved this by impersonating another famous
New York pizzeria, made popular by the barstool pizza review youtube series. The facade came to an end after a hotel
manager confronted this fake pizza master and he was arrested. The pizza master that he was impersonating had this to
say about the fraud: "I would like him to not use my restaurant's name, and if he uses his right name, then do the right
food."
What's New and Exciting
I'm going to be exploring some exciting pizza recipes and drink pairings in the future. I'll be reporting my expert
opinion to the blog and also providing you some of my personal favorite recipes to try out for yourselves at home!
